2007 Travel Iowa Marketplace exhibitor theme winners The Ames booth, hosted by the Ames Convention & Visitors Bureau, with donations from Reiman Gardens and Black’s Heritage Farm, was awarded first place during the 2007 Travel Iowa Marketplace held in Ames, IA on September 27, 2007. The display featured an antique potato planter, corn stalks, local produce and baskets holding local attraction brochures, and mini chocolate ears of corn. The 2007 exhibitor theme for the event was “A Harvest of Iowa Tours”. The event was held in Hilton Coliseum and featured over 90 exhibitor booths, representing a variety of Iowa tourism-related businesses and organizations.
2008 Arts in the Workplace Award Presented by the Ames Community Arts Council, this award is presented to the organization that incorporates art into its business in a creative way.
