Washed Ashore™ Sculpture Exhibit — Jellyfish Bloom

15 jellies from 1′ to 2′ diameter by 2′ to 3′ height

When large numbers of sea jellies congregate, it’s called a sea jelly bloom. They occur when ocean currents, nutrients, and food enable many jellies to thrive in tight quarters. Because jellies can flourish in oceans going through transition due to climate change, agricultural runoff, overfishing, and other human related pressures, it’s likely we will see more blooms.
