Spectacular Rainbow Eucalyptus

When mature and peeling in summer, rainbow eucalyptus (Eucalyptus degulpta) boasts amazing bark with streaks of red, green, orange, yellow and purple. A younger specimen has recently been planted in the Christina Reiman Butterfly Wing with bark that is just starting to show interesting color variations. The most remarkable thing about this tree at the Gardens, however, is that the butterflies are going absolutely crazy feeding on its flowers, which are expected to last through the end of July.
