Jordan Christensen – The Movement of Life

These past few weeks at Reiman Gardens I have really been focusing my thoughts around our theme for the year: Movement. My deeper understanding of this theme was rooted during my education rotation opportunity when I went through docent training for guiding tours of the George Sherwood Wind, Waves, and Light sculptures currently displayed around the Gardens. I came to further understand the beauty and inspiration of movement and nature behind these pieces, which encouraged my creative thinking surrounding the idea of movement. Movement applies to every part of our life: growth, location, time, you name it. The Gardens create the perfect environment to appreciate the movement of nature through insects, animals, wind, and water while reflecting upon the movement within our own lives.
