Welcome back to the Reiman Gardens Intern Blog!

My name is Katie Dukes, and I am just one of the eleven talented, hard-working women working for the Gardens’ internship program this summer. This program is jam-packed full of opportunities to gain experience in each of our respective areas (Horticulture, Entomology, Education, Events, Volunteer, and Gift Shop), as well as gain knowledge in other departments through rotation experiences. Other internship components include reflection writings, presentations, education sessions, plant walks, and field trips. We will be busy, but we are excited to see where the summer takes us!
We have only officially been on the job for a week now, but I think we can all agree that Reiman Gardens is one of the prettiest places to work. Whether you are a frequent visitor or someone who has never been, trust us when we say, it is worth a visit. Over the next three months, you will have the opportunity to hear us reflect on our experiences at Reiman Gardens as we develop and grow into our roles. We hope you follow along with us on this blog as we take on our summer adventure!
