Hello, it’s Katie D. again and I am here to close out Reiman Gardens’ summer blog series for the 2019 intern season. The Reiman Gardens’ internship program allowed us to travel through each department to grasp a better understanding of the beautiful place we work in every single day. We adventured to other gardens around the state (and Nebraska) on field trips, where we gained differing perspectives on garden operations. Staff members took us on art and plant walks each week, which helped grow our knowledge of the Gardens. Finally, we were tasked with completing a leadership project of our choosing. This project challenged us to create our own goal/experience to accomplish during our time with Reiman Gardens.

Throughout the last three months, each of us have grown professionally as we have acquired knowledge and experience in our respective career fields. The friendships that we have built over this summer will make the conclusion of this program bittersweet, but we are excited to see what the future holds for each of us! We hope you enjoyed reading along with us this summer! Check back next May to meet the next crew!
