Appreciation of Reiman Gardens

My name is Katie and I have been a volunteer at Reiman Gardens for around 7 or 8 months. I went a lot as a kid with my family to the Gardens, but only recently was I introduced to the opportunity to volunteer by a friend. Over the summer I helped out a lot during summer break to try and earn my silver cord for graduation. My favorite activities at the Gardens are gardening outside in the mornings or being an assistant with the Plant Pals program, however, I have enjoyed every position I have volunteered in. I like volunteering in general because of the sense of community and involvement. I enjoy volunteering at Reiman Gardens specifically because of the relaxing environment and the extraordinary people who work there. Everyone is very kind and welcoming. I look forward to coming in and helping out whenever I can because it’s such a great place to be.
