Meet the Private Events Intern: Isabelle Armstrong

Hello everyone! My name is Isabelle Armstrong, and I’m the Private Events Intern at Reiman Gardens. I’m a senior majoring in Event Management at Iowa State, and I love all things weddings. You might be curious as to how events work during the interesting times of COVID-19. Right now, all event spaces are at 50% capacity, tables are spaced 6 feet apart, and buffet lines are not allowed meaning all food must be served to guests. My internship involves monitoring events to make sure they are following guidelines, rearranging spaces per the event’s needs, and being the on-site contact person for clients during events. I also have the amazing opportunity to give bridal tours to show potential couples Reiman Gardens’ event spaces and help them to envision how we can transform a space for a wedding. It’s been fun getting to play a small part in the planning process of a couple’s special day! Stay tuned for another blog post on a wedding I am planning from start to finish, but in the meantime, I have to go back to sanitizing the event spaces!
