Colton Trecker the Exhibits Intern

gardener with a shovel and planting something in the dirt

My name is Colton Trecker, and I’m an Outdoor Gardener and Exhibits Intern at Reiman Gardens. I have worked at the Gardens for about 18 months now, and I wanted to share a little bit about what it is like to work outdoors at Reiman Gardens. One of the first things you will notice is that the to-do list is never ending and grows bigger every day, so I promise you will never be bored. This job does require a high amount of manual labor, from digging holes, to pushing a mower. The icing on the cake is the scenery. There are always beautiful plants in bloom and amazing new installations grabbing for your attention. The people you will work with are all very wholesome and will make you feel right at home. If you are looking to build a little muscle, get a nice tan, and even learn a little about plants, then this might be the perfect place for you.
