Reiman Gardens announces the completion of a new 20-year master plan developed by staff, the Gardens’ stakeholders, 3 Fromme Design and Spurlock Poirer. This process started in March 2014 and was financially supported by Reiman Gardens and a significant grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. 2015 was Reiman Gardens’ 20th anniversary. The first 20 years have concentrated on growth and stability, this plan looks at the next 20 with the goal of making the Gardens a stronger destination beyond central Iowa and becoming a nationally recognized name among public gardens.

The plan has been strongly supported by Iowa State University President Steven and First Lady Janet Leath, who sat on the planning committee. The master plan complements their goal of campus beautification and aligns with the Jack Trice Stadium South End Zone Green Space project as well as creates a grand entrance to campus.

The ambitious project will be phased over time and funded by Reiman Gardens’ raised revenue, grants and fund raising.
