Creating a World Class Garden Program for Members Only
January 18, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Members, please join us for a night of information about Reiman Gardens' new feature garden, Sycamore Falls. Presenters include Ed Lyon of Reiman Gardens and Dan Benarcik of globally known Chanticleer garden. Learn about how Sycamore Falls will transform Reiman Gardens into a world class garden, bringing added recognition to Ames and Iowa.
Ed Lyon, Director, will talk about the history of this project and its design intent by taking you through the evolutionary process starting with a conceptual vision, the renditions that didn’t make the cut, and the ideas and thought processes that led to the ultimate design.
Dan Benarcik, Chanticleer, will present Creating a World Class Garden. Chanticleer in Wayne, PA, is regarded by the public garden field as the most creative and visually stunning garden in the U.S. as demonstrated in the visually spectacular book, The Art of Gardening. Dan will talk about what it takes to create a garden that will add visibility and recognition to Ames and central Iowa.
