Dance/Movement at the Gardens
This program has been cancelled.
3-week program beginning Tuesday, December 5, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Dance the winter blues away in this expanded program focused on how the use of movement furthers emotional, cognitive, physical and social integration. Based on the premise that the body, mind and spirit are interconnected, this form of Expressive Arts can be used for stress reduction, disease prevention, and mood management. In addition, D/MT's physical component offers increased muscular strength, coordination, mobility, and decreased muscular tension. D/MT promotes self-awareness, self-esteem, and a safe space for the expression of feelings. Come see for yourself to learn more from Board-Certified Movement Therapist Camilla Kottman. No dance background necessary! Preregistration with prepayment is required by Friday, December 1.
