August 2016 Eating by Color

Monday, August 15 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Eating a variety of colorful foods can give your body essential nutrients – nature’s way of offering a real rainbow that our bodies need! Lycopene from red tomatoes or watermelon helps protect against some cancers, while the beta carotene from orange foods like sweet potatoes and carrots supports bone health. Learn from herbalist, Gayle Curtis, about the many different colors in natural foods and what they do.
