Folding Cranes, Enfolding Community – Artist’s Talk and Folding with Pam Douglas

lots of paper cranes made from paper with different colors

Thursday, November 11, 1:00 – 2:00 PM

Since 2020, artist Pam Douglas and others have folded over 6,200 paper cranes as a memorial for every Iowan who has died from COVID-19. As cases continue to rise and cranes are added, the exhibit has begun to travel across Iowa to honor these individuals and promote community healing. Today she will discuss the exhibit, lead us in a silent tribute to reflect on the loss, and teach us how to fold with intention and hope. Join us in our attempt to fold 1,000 paper cranes for peace today.

Origami paper provided. No preregistration necessary. Masks are encouraged.
