From Soil to Sky: Pollinator Gardening and Native Planting

Saturday, September 10, 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Pollinators are essential in our gardens by helping plants reproduce and maintain biodiversity, and by contributing to clean air, water, and soil. Join Butterfly Wing Assistant Anita Westphal to learn how to select and plant native species for butterflies, bees, birds, bats, and more. You will also tour the Gardens to get familiar with many of the pollinator plants in Reiman Gardens’ collection. Attendees will receive a terracotta pot, seeds or plant starts, and the Pollinators in Iowa guidebook.
Preregistration with prepayment is required by Thursday, September 8. Limited spots available.
We are able to offer this program and any associated supplies at a low cost to attendees thanks to granted funds from the Stanley Smith Horticultural Trust.
