From Soil to Sky: Tropical Plants & Container Gardening

Saturday, June 18, 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Iowa summers may be hot and humid, but tropical plants won’t survive our harsh winters. They make great houseplants though! Learn about climate factors affecting tropical plants, and how to plant them in containers to be moved in and out with the seasons. Then make your own container garden with Director of Horticulture Sarah Rummery. Attendees will receive a container, selected plants, and hands-on guidance.

Preregistration with prepayment is required by Thursday, June 16. Limited spots available.
We are able to offer this program and any associated supplies at a low cost to attendees thanks to granted funds from the Stanley Smith Horticultural Trust.
