Plant Sale Extravaganza 2022

Online sale for Reiman Gardens’ members only from April 21 at 12:00 p.m. through April 25 at 12:00 p.m. 

The online Plant Sale has closed.

In person Reiman Gardens’ members only sale on May 6 from 3:00 -7:00 p.m.

 In person sale open to the public on May 7 from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and May 8 from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

The Plant Sale Extravaganza will be held in Reiman Gardens’ parking lot rain or shine.

Plants for sale include perennials for sun and shade, herbs and vegetables, Iowa natives, woody plants including trees, shrubs and Buck roses, specialty evergreens, container annuals, hanging baskets, All-American Selection (AAS) winning vegetables and herbs, and prefinished mixed containers.

Typically, Mother’s Day weekend is the first frost free weekend in central Iowa for planting, so bring mom and stock up on gems for your home garden.

Plant Sale Extravaganza supports the Department of Ecology, Evolution, & Organismal Biology Graduate Student Organization, the Graduate Student Horticulture Society, the ISU Horticulture Club, Reiman Gardens, and the Story County Master Gardener Association. All plant purchases directly benefit each group’s programming.

As a member perk, Reiman Gardens’ members can purchase plants before the public.

Credit card, check, and cash will all be accepted as payment. No admission fee required to shop at the Plant Sale Extravaganza. No preregistration required.
