VIRTUAL: Armchair Travels of North American Gardens with Director Ed Lyon

REGION: Southwest, West, and British Columbia
RESCHEDULEDThursday, June 3, 6:00 – 7:30 PM

Public gardens stretch far across these young, broad lands, covering nearly half of the area presented in this series. From xeric desert to over 130 inches of rain per year, the plantings here can be exotic and flamboyant compared to the eastern U.S., but also provide models for water conservation and sustainability. The Pacific Northwest and British Columbia are rich in moisture, making the Portland area one of the heaviest concentrations of wholesale nurseries in the country offering such plant variety!
