VIRTUAL: Botanical Drawing – Houseplants

Get to know your favorite houseplant better by exploring the details through botanical drawing. Learn the ins and outs of creating a beautiful composition and practice some art techniques with a pencil. Bring your own houseplant to use as a reference and draw along with illustrator Kelsey Wilson.

Required materials: houseplant (any), paper, pencil, eraser – see below for artist recommendations:

• Drawing pencil (HB, 2B or 4B)
• Drawing paper (Strathmore or Canson)
• Staedtler White Plastic Eraser
• Kneaded Eraser
• Tombow Mono Zero retractable eraser
