When Boon Becomes Bane in the Garden (& Vice Versa)

This program has been cancelled.
Thursday, February 28, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Just because a lovely plant is given sales space at a garden center or nursery and alluringly seduces you with its beauty doesn’t mean that it will be a good fit in your garden. The same characteristics that make a plant a boon in one garden may make it a bane in another. You have all heard the horror stories of the gardener who planted something that took over and then became impossible to eradicate. Director Ed Lyon will present a number of those plants readily available in garden centers and let you decide if its boon fits your garden’s need or if its bane make it a never-ending challenge. Preregistration with prepayment is required by Tuesday, February 26.
