Expand on basic watercolor techniques with Creative Department artist Yvonne Brune in this 6-week class. Learn more about masking, layering, salt and alcohol effects, and more, with Reiman Gardens as a beautiful backdrop.
All experience levels are welcome! Classes will be outdoors as well as indoors – please come prepared.

Stop by the classroom at Reiman Gardens to turn junk into treasure. Recycling is not just about sorting trash; it is also about finding new ways to re-purpose something that can still be useful. In this drop-in class, learn how to take an ordinary soda bottle and make it into a cute faux succulent. Give yourself about 30 minutes for this activity. Open to ages 12+.

Are you a crafty person? Do you like to sip fun and fruity drinks? Well come to Reiman Gardens to enjoy Maker Mocktails! This May, learn how to make a non-alcoholic Marigold Blueberry Infusion with Reiman Gardens’ staff in this after-hours program and then take the recipe home so you can make it a true cocktail with your own alcohol. Then we will wrap up the night by making recycled seed paper flowers, perfect to get your garden started this spring!

Join artist and illustrator Kelsey Wilson for an afternoon of painting in the gardens in the French tradition of plein air, or to paint in the fresh air. Enjoy the restorative quality of the gardens as you paint in acrylics on canvas. Materials included. All experience levels are welcome; open to ages 12 and up. Please note: come prepared for an outdoor class (indoor location available in case of severe weather).

Do you have a fascination with paper? Do you journal, collage, or craft? Are you interested in recycling? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then come and learn how to make your very own recycled paper in this hands-on workshop with Education Director, Sara Merritt. Feel free to bring any non-glossy paper you want to recycle, and wear an apron or dress for a mess!
