Dorm Plant Basics: Potting… Oh, and Re-Potting

Thursday, September 15, 6:00 – 7:00 PM

Is your dorm dreadful? Is your apartment appalling? Do you need some life in your small space? This class will focus on how to pot a propagated plant, how to pot a plant from the store, and how to re-pot a plant you already have. This class will also cover how to fertilize your houseplants.

This first class in our Dorm Plant Basics series will focus on how to choose the right plant based on your skill level and home environment, and will also cover watering, misting, and other basic plant care information. The best part? You get to take home your very own plant cutting to get your journey started!

DROP IN: Recycled Materials: Wine Bottle Planters

Stop by the classroom at Reiman Gardens to turn junk into treasure. Recycling is not just about sorting trash; it is also about finding new ways to re-use something that can still be useful. In this drop-in class, learn how to cut glass and turn old wine bottles into usable planters.

Drop in when you can but be sure to give yourself 30 minutes for this activity.
