Winter Wonderscape Holiday Light Show
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings December 2, 3, 4; 9, 10, 11; 16, 17, 18; 23, 24; 30, 31, January 1 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Winter Wonderscape Holiday Light Show is back for its second year and better than ever with our outdoor walk-through holiday light show featuring a variety of immersive light displays throughout the entire 17-acre site. Don’t miss our new and improved features and elements including motion and music. Walk through brightly lit tunnels, meander through fantasy lights falling like stars, view massive disco balls twirling to laser lights, enjoy a twenty-foot-wide fountain of lights and a wide array of other sparkling wonders. The kids will enjoy lighted sculptural forms including Peter Rabbit, the metamorphosis of the luna moth, penguins cavorting on skis, sleds and ice skates and a giant lighted snowflake.
On your way out through the main building, don’t miss the RG Express Holiday Train display in the Hughes Conservatory! Visitors young and old will be enchanted by this custom-built garden-scale train, which was created by Applied Imagination, an internationally recognized company whose train displays meld botanical design and architecture.
As you leave the RG Express Train display, stop by the Garden Room for some music:
Friday, December 3 – Coffee Shop Romance is a husband-and-wife acoustic duo who uses lush harmonies and beautiful chemistry to reimagine music from yesterday and today.
Saturday, December 4 – Tom Box will be featuring the best in oldies and rock and soul music.
Saturday, December 11 – The Bluestem Bellows Band comprises five eclectic musicians who have found great joy in making music together using that world music wind instrument the accordion.
Friday December 17 – Britches & Hose Ukulele Club is an all-ukulele all the time ensemble.
Saturday December 18 – Barb Evenson on the Harp
