Learn the basics of floral design from State Fair Master Flower Show judge and floral designer Sandy Gossman while creating beautiful arrangements to take home. Each month features a different style of arrangement, from vase designs to centerpieces, to contemporary designs using structural oasis. Learn the tips and skills used by professionals and create own one-of-a-kind floral designs.

What IS that plant? Get to know the works of art in our living museum from the expert herself – join Lindsey Smith, Reiman Gardens’ Plant Collections Curator, for in-depth walking tours of the plants and flowers that make this place so special.

Extended Holiday Hours

MEMBERS GET FREE ADMISSION AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC GET HALF-PRICE ADMISSION!

This holiday season Reiman Gardens will be open until 8:00 p.m. on Thursdays between December 5 through January 2 for visitors to shop at the Gift Shop and see the RG Express indoor holiday train display. This is also a great opportunity to see the outdoor lights and decorations illuminated against the night sky. The Gift Shop will offer discounts on Christmas merchandise! Deals as good as this don't happen often in the Gift Shop, so take advantage of it while you can.

Admission is free for members and half-price for the general public after 4:30 p.m. The Christina Reiman Butterfly Wing still closes at 4:30 p.m. Thursdays include December 5, 12, 19, 26, and January 2. No preregistration required.

Family Winter Solstice Pajama Party

Celebrate the return of the light with family-focused activities, stories, and crafts. The whole family can come in their pajamas, enjoy some cocoa, and get cozy by the fire as we learn about cycles in nature and the history of the shortest day. Perfect for youth ages 2-10; adult supervision required. Preregistration with prepayment is required by Wednesday, December 18.

Butterfly Blizzard (register for total # of butterflies below)

Saturday, December 21 anytime between 8:00 and 9:30 a.m.

Come in from the cold to experience a different kind of blizzard – a butterfly blizzard in Reiman Gardens’ Christina Reiman Butterfly Wing! Take advantage of this rare opportunity to release your very own butterfly, just-emerged from its chrysalis, and waiting in a container for its first flight in the Butterfly Wing. An amazing nature moment for young and old alike! While here, partake in fun, themed crafts and sip hot cocoa.

Participants must preregister with prepayment by December 9 or WHILE SUPPLIES LAST (80 butterflies)!

Price does not include admission to the Gardens.
