CANCELED: Garden Art Fair

Sunday, July 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Reiman Gardens is proud to host their annual Garden Art Fair. Come enjoy the work of nearly 60 new and returning artists who will be displaying and selling their garden and nature inspired art featuring jewelry, painting, pottery, woodwork, glass, home décor, photography, sculpture, fabric arts, and more.

While here, visitors can view and buy a variety of high quality art as well as all of the Gardens’ features: the summer blooms, the Hughes Conservatory, the Christina Reiman Butterfly Wing and the Gift Shop.

No preregistration required. To make the event more accessible to all, Reiman Gardens will feature a reduced admission rate for the public: $8.00 for general admission, $7.00 for seniors ages 65+, $3.50 for youth ages 2-12, and free for youth under 2. Admission is free for Reiman Gardens’ members and ISU students with a student ID.

Going Digital: Plant Pals and Junior Master Gardeners

Growing kids by igniting a passion for learning through unique gardening education. (Programs offered Tuesday mornings July 14 - August 11)

Join us for a weekly virtual version of Plant Pals and Junior Master Gardeners! Learn about the gardening process and explore how plants grow. This program engages children in novel, “hands-on” learning experiences that promote a love of gardening, develop an appreciation for the environment, and cultivate the mind. Perfect for youth K-3rd grades. Programs will involve a live introduction, followed by a video lesson and live Q&A – then visit the PPJMG space in the Edible Garden on your own to see the progress in person!

Pre-registration is required by Sunday, July 12. This program is DIGITAL VIA ZOOM. You must have access to at least the free version of Zoom to participate. You will receive a protected link on Monday for your household to join on Tuesday.

Plant Walk: Hummingbirds

Beginning Watercolor

6-week program beginning Tuesday, July 21, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Join Creative Department artist Yvonne Brune for a 6-week watercolor course exploring the beauty of the Gardens. Sketch butterflies, flowers, or plants, and learn skills and build techniques with watercolor paints. All experience levels welcome!

Class will be outdoors as well as indoors - please come prepared.
Preregistration with prepayment is required by Sunday, July 19.

Learn the art of painting with wool! Join us as Megan Hammer of Art Grows Wild shares the needle-felting technique that uses only wool and a needle to create a beautiful and unique piece of art. You will create a 4"x 6" frameable piece. No experience necessary! Draw inspiration from native plants, work from your own photo, or let your creativity run wild!
